DIRECTV and Disney were unable to agree to a deal so all Disney owned channels, including ABC, ESPN and more were shut off during the U.S. Open and minutes before the kickoff of the USC and LSU game.

The streaming wars are heating up and I think DIRECTV could be a thing of the past.

Lot of angry Disney/DirecTV customers as Disney pulls its channels in a contractual battle. I'm watching USC-LSU on YouTube TV.

Some fans blamed DIRECTV while others blamed Disney for not being able to get a deal done.

In other words Disney's in denial that people are cutting the cord and there's less people watching yet they want the same amount of money. Screw them.

Fans are not happy and they are letting DirecTV know about it.

Hey @DIRECTV we pay you well north of $200 a month and you cut out the US Open and Phillies on ESPN. Well guess what. We just started our free trial to YouTube TV and am cancelling you on Tuesday. Been toying with the idea for a while. Decision has now been made.

What @directv just did is grimey. To do this to your customers in the middle of the US Open, MLB, and college football on a holiday weekend when millions of people are warching @espn is bad business for YOUR customers.
