The easy answer and rather dumb in my opinion, is Gardner Minshew. It’s easy to blame the QB, he’s supposed to be the leader of the team, the blame typically falls heaviest on their shoulders. I don’t think that’s the case in this one, or this season to this point.

Luke Getsy was a horrible decision from the day it was announced if you ask me. His offensive play-calling is garbage. I’m also an Iowa Hawkeyes fan, so that’s saying something. So he’s definitely in the running for being named the problem. Shoot, there’s already huge support for his firing, from a frustrated fan base.

The “Fire Luke Getsy” rumors have started

In his defense, and another defense for Minshew, the Raiders offensive line is offensively bad. They’re just garbage. I see why Aiden O’Connell was so panicked all last season after having MackTSD from all those times he ended up on his back. There’s new guys, but the tandem is getting the same result, which is a very bad lack of production.

Speaking of AOC, he came in and did his job, but I don’t think that’s puts Gardner in a bad position, it was garbage time, he wasn’t seeing the same pressure from the defense, and it was a limited sample size, Minshew had the 97 yard touchdown drive in the game too.

With the offensive line being as bad as they are, it’s hard to blame the running backs for bringing nonexistent for the most part through three weeks. But because they can’t get the ground game going, it’s hard to put much blame on the QB. The offensive coordinator even gets a little bit of a pass as you’re limiting your play options when you’re one dimensional and constantly behind the sticks.

So I think there’s blame to be had from many parties, Minshew has been reckless at times, but very consistent and efficient overall. Getsy never should’ve gotten the job, I we had many other options, that was a bad call. But he’s been in a tough position as well, bad field position, behind the chains regularly, and is one dimensional with the lack of ground game. The running game has to get something g going and that will open up the offense as a whole. All the blame above, is instantly better if the Raiders offensive line puts it together. So the biggest blame lies with the line. The defense is playing their butts off, but you can only defend so long before you have a lapse.

What do you think the biggest problem in Vegas is?

“People ask me what I do in the summer when there’s no football. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for fall.”
