The Los Angeles Lakers have completed the teams first official practice of the 2024-25 NBA season.

This is marking the beginning of what can possibly become the NBA’s next adventure in terms of generational impacts, with this father-and-son pairing, and what I mean by impact is that, we are entering a period where men need to be men. Fathers need to understand the importance of who they are, and son’s need to be empowered again.

This season might be one of the most fun, dramatic, nail biting, tear-jerking, foul-mouth, and growing pains the league rim ever witness.

Let’s look the major influence this means to the Fatherhood community as a whole.
There is room and space for people to debate rather they feel if Bronny James Jr, No.9 for the Lakers organization, is ready for high-level competition.

That’s a fair assessment! Looking at it from a b-ball perspective, I would compare Bronny’s performance in college to other guards at his position and the impacts they made on the team they committed to.

The comparison of his college career would say he needed more time to develop. Maybe even transfer to a different college to get more experience and playing time.

But what if Bronny was holding back for this exact reason here? Waiting to prove himself on the biggest stage, at the very dire time his father needs help at work, perfect timing!!
Hey, you might even argue him not being the best player in high school should have kept him in college, but you’re not a James.

I hope we can, and all should agree upon this matter, that the James father-son duo, is great for entertainment, as it is for parenting.

I myself will say it should not be looked at as a bad thing for basketball, or a matter of privilege, rather we should see the dedication it took from a player to work on his craft, to be able to give his career the time it needed, to exceed, and double (22) the lifespan (7-11) of most players who’ve played a entire NBA career. Times to Bond

Think about all the spectators waiting to critique these players, in order to pick at Lebron James legacy?

“Bronny was a bad draft, this is entitlement at its best, why we they draft this kid, blah, blah, blah.”

That energy means they can’t see the bigger picture. I look and think to myself, “If Lebron & Bronny can team up on the court, then I can do the same with my son, just under our own conditions.

I’m looking forward to all the opportunities to call my children in front of the television and watch history daily as we enjoy competitive play.

“Hey, come watch Bronny catch a alley-oop from his dad,” Did you see that assist, look at that assist to the corner by Bronny to James, James to James Jr, and the Lakers Win!!!”
Today was the first father-son practice in NBA history. Stay tuned to see what this year NBA season brings.

“People ask me what I do in the summer when there’s no football. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for fall.”
